Mountain View Fire Rescue firefighters responded to a vehicle fire in Erie, Colo., near the AARV Auto and RV Storage facility on Weld County Road 6.
According to MVFR spokesman Rick Tillery, responders arrived on the scene just east of Interstate 25 at 12:48 p.m. on a call of a vehicle on fire in late December. Tillery said multiple agencies across MVFR responded to the scene, including crews from Dacono, Erie, unincorporated Boulder County and Longmont.
“We don’t have a cause yet, and the investigation is underway as we speak. Nobody was injured. Three vehicles were involved,” said Tillery. “The fire started in one of them but we don’t know why yet. Investigators are looking in the debris.”
