New Units In Store for Michigan Facility

A new storage facility that’s slated to open in Morley this November is underway and will have several units with various sizes available, including RV and boat storage. Morely Self Storage, operated by Jak’s Enterprises, is under construction at 670 3rd Street, just west of the Morely Area Fire and Rescue facility in Michigan.

“The earthwork is done and graveled, and we are waiting on the concrete. That should be coming this week or next week,” owner Jason Miller said. “Once that is completed, the buildings will come out of Wisconsin.” Miller, who also owns a self-storage facility at Tubbs Lake, said he believes there is a demand for more self-storage facilities in the area.

Executive Workshop Naples, FL“There is a demand for more units in the area,” Miller said. “Morley has one facility that is currently full. We are prepping for four building sites, and we will also have some limited outdoor parking for campers and boats.”

Miller’s assumption reflects that of research indicating the nation falls far short of meeting demand for RV and boat storage. Per Toy Storage Nation, based on research conducted by several reputable sources, the need for more space to store oversized vehicles is five times the current supply. The research analyzes storage capacity that currently exists measured against an uptick in sales of RVs and boats across the nation.

The Morley site will include four multi-unit buildings. Two buildings will be 30-foot by 290-foot and will house 57 mixed size units per building, including 10-foot by 10-foot, 10-foot by 20-foot and 10-foot by 15-foot.

Two buildings will be 20-foot by 290-foot and will house 29 10-foot by 10-foot units per building.

A total of 15 camper and boat storage spots will also be available. The entire facility will be fenced and gated and customers will have 24-hour access via a gate code, earning Morley Storage a Class A designation.

Miller said he hopes to have the facility open for business by November. Once up and running, reservations will be completed either online or by phone.
